How To Add An Exception To Firewall
Windows Firewall acts as a barrier that prevents your computer from connecting to the rest of the Internet. A firewall keeps unwanted Network traffic in, and allows applications on your computer to communicate with the outside world. But each fence needs a gate, and that's where the exceptions come in.

When you allow an application to communicate through Firewall, it is called exceptions. Windows creates exceptions for its own system services and applications, and when you install a new application that wants to communicate with the outside world, Windows will ask if you want to allow that application to communicate. or not?

How to add the exception manually?

Open the Windows Firewall settings by typing Firewall in the Search box on the Start Menu.
Click on the Windows Firewall application.
Note: Windows Firewall, not Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
At this point, the screen will appear an interface showing how to configure the Firewall (firewall) for both Private Network (private networks, such as home networks ...) and Public Network (network systems). public).
In the list of options in the left pane, click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall".
On the next interface will display a list of all the applications allowed to communicate and how to communicate through the network (Private or Public).
First you open Windows Firewall, click on Change Settings to allow you to change or add new applications.
To add a new app to the list of apps, click Allow another app.
On the Add an app window, browse to the application you want to allow the Network to access.
Click on Network types to choose the method of communication Private or Public, or both.
When done, click Add.
On the list of apps allowed to communicate you will see the name of the app you just added.

Configure Advanced Firewall Rules
Windows provides two different interfaces that work on the Firewall. Setting the Setting interface is the simplest way to allow an app to communicate.
Yet another tool with many other installation options is Advanced Security.
You can set up this tool as follows:
- Not only creating rules governing traffic inside and outside the application, but also creating incoming Network Traffic on a specific port.
- Network traffic directly to your computers, especially on your local network, is based on the application or port number.
- Creating connection security rules forces other computers to try to communicate with you, using different modes of communication to establish their identities.
- Monitor usage of rules and other secure connections.
