To export a video in Premiere Pro, go to File> Export> Media. You can press the "Control M" shortcut on a Windows computer or "Command M" on a Mac. Also make sure the sequence you want to export will be selected as you follow this tutorial.

At this point, the video output settings window will appear. In this window, you will select the desired settings or the presets for the video, and then send it to the output Media Encoder.

The first thing before exporting a video is to think about where the video is released and how people view it. Will you upload videos to Youtube or Vimeo? Do you provide your customers with a raw, compressed copy so they can watch the video on their phone? Or do you want to burn the video to a DVD? The location of the release is very important to decide which installation is required. Now that there are a lot of useful settings pre-installed with Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, you can choose the right settings for your file.

If you want to skip the custom settings and export the video with the STANDARD setting with your sequence, select “match sequence settings” at the top to change the video output setting to match the sequence setting. Once you set up the correct sequence, this output will output the original file with the original data.

If you plan to export the video to play on the web (youtube or vimeo ..), in the section Fomat, choose H.264 codec, so we will choose our format is H.264.
Also select a preset that matches the desired sequence and output. Our sequence is 1080p with a 29.97 frame rate, so we chose the HC 1080p 29.97 preset.

Click the output name to specify the output name for the output video file. Make sure Export Video and Export Audio are selected so that the output file is in video and audio format.

If you want to change the settings to make them more flexible, you can do them in this window. Carefully check these settings to make sure that everything looks what you want.

You can now choose one or two of Premiere Pro's export options: Queue or Export.

Selecting the Queue will take you to the Media Encoder with the sequence added to the Queue. Then all you have to do is just press the blue Play button at the top to start exporting the video. This works great if you want to add multiple Premiere Pro sequences to export at once. It also allows you to continue work on Premiere Pro while Media Encoder outputs the background. I also use this video output method very often.

Choose Export to simply export the sequences from this window. You should be able to use Premiere Pro while exporting videos this way. However, exporting in this way you have to wait until the video output software is finished to work.

If you frequently use a custom setting, save the video export settings as a preset. Click the save preset button next to the drop-down menu containing presets in the video export window, moreover, you can name the preset whatever you want. You can now use the saved preset next time.
